Aims and Scope

Aims

The Global Journal of Health Systems and Policy (GJHSP) is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that advances research, debate, and evidence-based practice in health systems, health policy, and public health governance. It provides a scholarly platform for researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and academics to share original research, critical analyses, and innovative perspectives on how health systems are structured, how they function, and how they perform worldwide.

The journal aims to:

  • Publish rigorous, original work that strengthens the evidence base for health policy and system reform.
  • Bridge the gap between research and practice by supporting evidence-informed decision-making.
  • Promote equity, quality, and accessibility in health care across diverse regional and socioeconomic contexts, including low-, middle-, and high-income settings.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary dialogue among public health, economics, political science, management, law, ethics, and the social and data sciences.
  • Make knowledge freely available to a global audience without subscription or access barriers for readers.
