Scholar Cave is committed to upholding the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. To support this commitment, all journals published under Scholar Cave participate in the Crossmark service provided by Crossref.

By displaying the Crossmark logo on our articles, we provide readers with a simple and reliable way to verify whether the content they are reading is the version of record and to access any updates, corrections, retractions, or other important publication notices associated with it.

What is Crossmark?

Crossmark is a global initiative developed by Crossref to ensure that readers can quickly determine the current status of scholarly content.

When readers click the Crossmark logo on an article published by Scholar Cave (in PDF versions), they will be able to see:

  • Whether the article is the most recent version,
  • The publication history of the article,
  • Any post-publication updates, such as corrections, retractions, or addenda.

This guarantees that our readers always have access to the most authoritative and reliable version of the research we publish.

Update and Correction Policy

Scholar Cave strictly follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and internationally recognized publishing best practices. Post-publication changes are managed with full transparency and deposited with Crossref to maintain the scholarly record.

The types of updates include:

  1. Corrections (Errata / Corrigenda):
    • Issued for minor mistakes that do not compromise the study’s results but require amendment for accuracy and clarity.
  2. Retractions:
    • Published when serious flaws, ethical concerns, or research misconduct invalidate the article’s findings. Retractions are linked directly to the original article and clearly labeled.
  3. Addenda:
    • Released when additional, important information or clarification emerges after publication without altering the original conclusions.
  4. Version Control:
    • All corrections, retractions, and addenda are permanently linked to the article’s DOI through Crossmark, ensuring a complete and transparent record of changes.

Publisher’s Responsibility

Scholar Cave takes full responsibility for ensuring that:

  • All updates are promptly deposited with Crossref,
  • The Crossmark record always reflects the current and authoritative status of each publication,
  • Authors and readers can rely on the integrity of the version of record.
