We recognize that maintaining a secure and perpetually available digital scholarly record is fundamental to the integrity and continuity of global academic research.

1. Primary Digital Preservation Repository

To guarantee that all published articles remain accessible even in the event of unforeseen circumstances — such as web server failure, platform migration, or journal discontinuation — ISRN employs a comprehensive manual archiving strategy:

• The Internet Archive (archive.org): All published volumes, issues, and full-text articles (PDFs) are officially cataloged and permanently deposited in the Internet Archive digital repository. All content is securely preserved under a dedicated institutional collection, ensuring long-term storage and unrestricted public access in perpetuity.

2. Persistent Identifiers and Metadata Distribution

To further safeguard our digital records and prevent broken or inaccessible links, ISRN integrates the following open-access identifier protocol:

• Crossref (DOI): Every published article is assigned a unique and permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI). This ensures persistent outbound linking, stable citation referencing, and long-term structural integrity of the scholarly record.

3. ResearchGate Journal Verification

The International Social Research Nexus (ISRN) is officially verified and indexed on ResearchGate — one of the world's largest and most trusted academic social networking platforms, connecting over 20 million researchers and hosting more than 135 million publications globally.

• Full Indexing — Every published article is individually indexed and made publicly accessible on the platform.
• Open Access to Full-Text — Complete PDFs of all articles are freely available for direct download, providing an additional layer of digital redundancy and open access.
• Author Visibility & Impact Tracking — Authors can monitor real-time engagement metrics — including reads, citations, and Research Interest Scores — directly through their ResearchGate profiles.
• Global Discoverability — ResearchGate verification significantly enhances the reach and discoverability of ISRN publications across the international research community.

4. Author Self-Archiving (Green Open Access Policy)

In addition to our official archiving strategy, ISRN actively supports a flexible and inclusive self-archiving policy to ensure multi-layered digital redundancy. Authors are both permitted and strongly encouraged to deposit the publisher's final version (PDF) of their work in any of the following:

• Their university's institutional repository.
• Personal or professional academic profiles (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu).
• National or subject-specific digital archives — immediately upon official publication, with no embargo period.

Note: ISRN journal has recently upgraded to the latest OJS 3.5.0-4 platform. The official PKP PN (LOCKSS) plugin is currently undergoing compatibility updates by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for this version. Once the plugin becomes available in the OJS 3.5.0-4 plugin gallery, it will be immediately activated and deployed to provide an additional layer of distributed digital preservation.
