Copyright, Licensing and Permissions

Authors retaining copyright is a fundamental principle of our journal's publishing model.

  • Author Ownership: Authors retain the unrestricted copyright and full publishing rights to their work without any limitations.
  • Licensing: All articles published in the International Social Research Nexus (ISRN) are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Licensing Terms

The CC BY 4.0 license is an open-access license that allows for maximum dissemination and re-use of licensed materials. Under this license, users are free to:

  • Share: Copy, distribute, and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

Terms of Re-use:

  • Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the journal, provide a link to the license, and indicate if any changes were made. This must be done in a reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the user or their use of the work.

Permissions & Open Access Statement

The International Social Research Nexus (ISRN) is committed to immediate and permanent open access.

Permitted Uses: Anyone is permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, including commercial and non-commercial re-use, without barriers or prior permission from the publisher or the author.
